"Abby, your reply to
this question was to the effect that women don\'t really care one way or
another. Not quite. A study by researchers at the University of Iowa found
that 71 to 83% of women surveyed preferred the circumcised penis. Reasons
included improved hygiene, looks sexier, feels better. (Williamson ML, &
Williamson PS. Women\'s preferences for penile circumcision in sexual
partners. J Sex Educ & Therapy 1988;14(2):8-12.). A sham study was
conducted by anti-circumcision advocates O\'Hara and O\'Hara some years
later, in which they sampled women primarily solicted through anti-circ.
magazines. Not surprisingly, the selection bias of the O\'Hara study
ensured an opposite preference!"
Thanks to S.B. for this information. Read more about the study

Does it really matter for a woman that a man has an uncircumcised penis?
- Shy Guy
Like every other feature of your body or personality, there will be people that either like or don't like what you have to offer. In the case of
penis circumcision though I don't think you need to worry. I've never heard of a woman who cared either way on
if a penis was
circumcised or not.
Abby I have a few thoughts after reading the following
study.
Apparently when asked, women in America prefer a circumcised penis over an
uncircumcised one. This is a revealing poll that does a good job demonstrating
the preference of the women in the study. In regards to your question though,
this study may not give a complete picture. I'll use "eye color" to illustrate.
After a quick search, I found that the most popular eye color was blue (37%
of those polled). Hazel eyes were near the bottom at only 7%. What this poll
doesn't measure is just how important eye color was when choosing a
partner. Most people probably only think about their favorite eye color when
asked this question and in the first few minutes after gazing into someone's
eyes. Aside from these times, it isn't going to matter much to anyone either
way. Some will certainly consider it important, but most will not.
Have you ever heard someone say they met somebody really cool, but their
hazel eyes just blew the deal?
To clarify on my initial reply, I've now heard of women who do care one way
or another whether their partner is circumcised. However, I've still never heard
of it having any significant impact on an otherwise healthy relationship. |
