Pregnancy Risk Question, Answers, Sex Advice
Pregnancy Advice |
I just had an interesting night with my lady-friend. We're wondering about
pregnancy risk. We had sex once, I was wearing a condom, she was not on birth control, we both had orgasms. After the sex, she removed the condom, and there was a lot of discharge in it, some of which dripped back onto my penis. I wiped the sticky stuff off with a nearby, trusty t-shirt before collapsing onto the bed for about a ten-fifteen minute break. We began round two, complete with brief insertion, before I pulled out, put on a new condom and commenced for a second time in which neither of us had orgasms. My question is...
What is the risk of her becoming pregnant? Could the sperm have survived the condom's spermicide, the t-shirt cleaning, and the interlude in order to make the long and arduous journey to ruining my life when I find out this girl is pregnant?
There is always a chance for pregnancy when you insert your penis into a woman's
vagina. It may not be likely that it happened through all that you describe, but there is still a real
possibility. Generally sperm doesn't live long when exposed to air. However, nearly every penis emits at least a small drop of seminal fluidoften called pre-cumwhen it becomes erect, whether or not an
orgasm is reached.
Basically it's never safe to have a "brief insertion" without some form of
protection. I think of condom use as falling into one of two categories: always
or not at all. Wearing one through most of the experience is effectively "not at
all" when it comes to pregnancy risk.
